Washington State Insurance Credit Ban News

The latest development and news is that on July 29, 2022, Thurston Superior Court Judge Indu Thomas ruled that the Office of the Insurance Commissioner lacked the statutory authority to unilaterally ban the use of credit information for rating and underwriting. This means that currently insurance companies are allowed to use credit information when deciding whether or not to offer someone insurance and to calculate how much to charge them.

Northwest harvest will also be our charity of the month for August. Northwest Harvest provides “an average of two million meals each month through” their “statewide network of 375 food banks, meal programs, and high-need schools. Northwest Harvest provides nutritious, culturally appropriate food to anyone in need while respecting people’s dignity and promoting good health.”

Depression Era -Hoover Stew

Cook the macaroni according to the instructions on the box.

While the pasta cooks, slice the hot dogs into thin “coins.”

Open cans of tomatoes and corn or beans, but do not drain.
Combine the contents of the cans and the hot dog slices in a large pot, and bring to a simmer
Break up the tomatoes into small chunks as the mixture heats.
Drain the macaroni when it is barely al dente. Reserve the cooking water to add to the stew, if needed.
Add the macaroni, and continue simmering until all of the ingredients are thoroughly heated and the hot dogs are cooked

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian forces have now seized 20% of Ukraine’s territory, as Moscow’s invasion nears its 100th day. Per the United Nations, it is as of may 24th believed that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has forced more than 14 million people to flee their homes in Ukraine. Over 6.6 million people have left for neighboring countries and another 7.4 million people are thought to be displaced inside the war-torn country itself.
