Each of the referrers will receive a $10 gift card. A matching $20 donation for each referral totaling $200 was made to Tamara Pavlenko of Salon Tii Gavo, who has taken in eight of her family members that were forced to flee their home in Ukraine and applied for asylum in the US.

Our May charity of the month is  CARE’s humanitarian crisis response in Ukraine to reach millions with aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance.

Per the United Nations, it is believed that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has as of May 5th forced more than 12 million people to flee their homes in Ukraine. Over 5.7 million people have left for neighboring countries and another 6.5 million people are thought to be displaced inside the war-torn country itself.
