July 2014 “Give Back” Referral Announcements

Each of them will receive a $2 bill and a matching donation is being given to NorthWest Harvest our June Charity of the month. Our annual food drive has ended and we are pleased to be able to be giving NorthWest Harvest a full box of food, and $26. Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts.

A special congratulations to Lisa Lefrancois our monthly drawing winner. We are pleased to announce that Lisa wanted her $100 prize money to be donated to the King County Regional Animal Services.

We also want to announce that our July Charity of the Month is Renton Youth Advocacy Center (RYAC) located in the City Parks building at Tiffany Park.

The center’s mission is to provide a safe place for teens after school and during the summer where they can interact with their peers and supportive adults.  RYAC has the goal of creating a place where at-risk-youth are accepted and guided to be thriving members of society.   These young people can read books, play Xbox, Playstation, piano,  pool, foosball, board games or basketball on the outside court. Students can participate in community support projects such as coat and food drives and quilting projects for the homeless. They offer music lessons, workshops to teach public speaking and interviewing skills, and the on the job training internships.
