Each of the referrers will receive a $10 gift card unless they arecapped. State law caps thank-you gifts for referrals to $100 each year. Once that $100 limit is met the excess is then donated to our charity of the month along with our matching $20 donation for each referral. So the total donated to The American Cancer Society was $430.
October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Approximately 40.5 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer of any site at some point during their lifetime. The mission of the American Cancer Society “is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.”
Our charity for the month of November is the Seattle Humane Society. The Seattle Humane Society directly impacts thousands of dogs, and cats each year, right here in our community! During their stay at the shelter, pets receive expert medical care, behavior training, loving attention, and opportunities for play and socialization.
